THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO

«Association «KAD-M»» has been operating throughout the commodities and services markets of Russia and the CIS countries for 15 years now, and for nearly 10 years now the Association has explored both the market and economic ties of RussiaKingdom of Morocco and in Egypt as well as official representatives in Tunis, Guinea (the City of Conakry), Mali, and Eritrea.

On September 7th, 2006 the presentation of a permanent multiindustry exhibition of Russian goods and services took place in Casablanca. This event was timed to the summit between the respective leaders of two countries, Russia and Morocco, Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, and Mohammad VI, the King of Morocco.  The presentation of the exhibition has been held under the auspices of The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Moscow City Government, Moscow Association of Enterprises,  Russian-Moroccan Business Council, Russian Federation Embassy in the Kingdom of Morocco and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Russian Federation. The exhibition organized by «Association «KAD-M»» was covered by Moroccan media, including the popular newsletter L’ECONOMISTE (www.leconomiste.com), as well as the first and second channels of Moroccan TV (www.kadmet.ru/video/marocco.wmv (95mb)). On December 26th, 2006 the first permanent exhibition of Russian enterprises was launched, and official operations began at: Casablanca 40, Residence ASSILM II, Avenue Ain Taoujtate, Bourgogne.

The exhibition invites scores of Russian enterprises from 18 Russian regions, representing samples of their products, showcasing various models, bill-boards, as well as cars of Russian production, “Lada Niva”, “Lada Kalina”, Izh 2775 and VAZ 21041. Presentations in cooperation with well known Russian companies, including OOO CTD Russian Buses, OOO VTF ZIL-Export AMO ZIL, OAO IzhAvto, and OAO SIBUR-Russian Tires, took place within the framework of the exhibition.

This project is a spring-board for Russian producers to enter African and Arab countries’ market, as well as helps Moroccan manufacturers and business circles to find their way out to the Russian market. not only Moroccan businessmen, but guests from Algeria, Tunis, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Mauritania, Spain, France, England and other countries interested in cooperation with Russia, all attend the exhibition.

Permanent multiindustry exhibition of Russian enterprises includes wide range of participants from largest Russian plants till craftsmen, representing various fields, such as environmental sphere, tourism, healthcare industry, etc.

Within the framework of the exhibition the museum of the Russian history is established. The exposition representing richheritage of Russia,  attract, attracts great public attention. We have also been publishing the Maghreb Echo newspaper in Russian and French.

“Association KAD-M” supports the work of the Compatriots Association, the Friends of Russia Association, the group Russian Women in Morocco, the AMLUIS Association, and the Morocco-Russia Friendship Association. “Association KAD-M” also established “Russia-Morocco Friendship Society”. Our projects haves assisted with the opening of new workplaces for both our compatriots and Moroccans. For our compatriots’ children New Year and Christmas holidays are organized.

For the purpose of the strengthening relations in the fields of culture, sport and tourizm between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Russian Federation the following agreements have been signed: an agreement with the AMLUIS Association, an agreement with the Box Federation of Morocco, as well as a trilateral cooperation agreement between the “Association KAD-M”, the FUS Sports Club, and A. Karpov’s Fund, as well as the agreement with the travel agency “Golf Plus Evenementiel”.

Chess school by A. Karpov in Rabat, the first one in the continent of Africa, was established with assistance of “Association KAD-M”.

During long-term “Association KAD-M” activity in the Kingdom of Morocco, the ties between our countries became evidently closer in economical, cultural, historical and sportive fields.
